| LaBelle Park is a rather tucked-away space in Columbia Heights, situated between a row of apartment complexes and block of houses. Even so, it sports a small playground (and a port-a-potty) near its parking lot, tree-spotted greens, a landscape garden, and a stroller-friendly trail that winds south around lengthy LaBelle Pond (beautiful even in the deep winter) and back up through a woodsy passage below the houses. It’s also located very near the Columbia Heights library, which hosts its own impressive collection of board books. |
