Round Lake in Eden Prairie features a mile-long loop of trail that will take you up and down a hill on each side of the lake, so be prepared for some small climbs. The paths will take you among a picnic area of tall & widely-spaced trees, a wood-sheltered south end of the park connecting to neighborhood cul-de-sacs, a pond-and-prairie-lined grassy west end, and a north end bordered by the trees of the lake on one side and Valley View Road separating the park from the willow-rich grounds of Eden Prairie High School. The old park playgrounds have been replaced since 2007 and a splash pad has been added to the beachside park.
