Springbrook Nature Center in Fridley, MN features a network of neat woodland trails connecting to marshy boardwalks, allowing walks of any duration. There are many scenic benches and other places to rest. Running water and bridges abound and the park celebrates its population of beavers who sculpt these waterways. These theme is further explored in the park’s renovated nature playground that is a must-stop in the north metro.
Inside the nature center you can find displays of live native animals, large nature dioramas, a nature playhouse structure, a puppet theater, an interactive light board, and tables of manipulatives to construct with. Just outside these windows are birdfeeders frequented by turkeys and woodpeckers. The entrance to the nature center features nice bathrooms, vending machines, and a small area of tables and chairs where food and drinks are allowed.
