Music Artists

Claudia Robin Gunn – a children’s music artist from New Zealand who makes beautiful songs about nature. I’d start with “The Loneliest Whale.”

Caspar Babypants – 20+ albums of extremely catchy and enjoyable children’s music from Chris Ballew’s “Caspar Babypants” project, and so many are about bugs that we were bound to love them! You may recognize his voice and style from The Presidents of the United States of America. I’d start with “Small Bird.”

Charlie Hope – Canadian-American children’s artist who sings with a lovely clear voice and fun simple style, performing both familiar and original songs! I’d start with “Train Song.”

Elizabeth Mitchell – American musician who sings many children’s folk song favorites in a peaceful acoustic style. I’d start with “Ladybug Picnic.”

Pete Moss – a nature educator and musician from Canada who has released albums of songs about birds and plants. I’d start with “Loon.”

The Okee Dokee Brothers – a team of nature enthusiasts and American folk musicians from Colorado who make great-sounding children’s music that ranges between silly and inspiring. I’d start with “Through the Woods.”

Douglas Wood – Minnesotan naturalist and folk musician whose songs of the north woods Minnesota waters were a great inspiration to our choir teacher. I’d start with “Little Stream.”

Jessie Farrell and the Gumboot Kids – A Canadian country musician whose family music has been features on a kids television series. I’d start with “Noisy Neighbor (Woodpecker).”

Jurassic Joe – A music teacher and dinosaur enthusiast who has made some really nice dinosaur songs that are often equal parts catchy and informative! I’d start with “Thumbs up for Iggy.”
