Next to the parking lot at Madison’s Brittingham Park, you can find a busy ADA-accessible playground in the open sun next to a popular picnic pavilion with public bathrooms. Walking north, next to a thriving community garden complete with arching sculptures and benches you can find a quieter playground that enjoys heavy shade in the late afternoon. A scenic lakeshore path stretches northeast from the picnic shelter to Brittingham beach. When we parked on the street at the north end of the park, we found a pair of port-a-potties at the edge of a quiet and partly-shaded green.
