This mid-sized park is pretty thoroughly shaded by mature oak trees (lots and lots of acorns in September). A diagonal path cuts through the rectangular park and past a popular gazebo. The tree-sheltered playground is an older structure with a small slide, but more open sides than I prefer for small toddlers. The sunny southern side of the park features a swing set and a natural log climber. Like many of Madison’s older parks, the play areas are surrounded by a mix of gravel, wood chips, and rubber mulch. The northeast corner of the park sports a pair of benches in a pretty garden. Parking is on the street, there is no bathroom.
