Nestled into a Verona neighborhood, Thousand Oaks park features a wide open field and a paved path that stretches to either side of a playground and picnic pavilion. Follow the path west down a shallow hill leading to back to a neighborhood street. Take the winding path east up the steeper wooded hill for a gorgeous hilltop view of the neighborhoods and fields. After a preliminary walk, explore the playground’s log & boulder climbers and swings. Older children may enjoy the platformed zipline swing and the treehouse play structure, though this 5-12 climber features too tall of drops for young toddlers.
Nearby, tiny Pocket Park provides a single partly-shaded picnic table and a great structure for 2-5yos with low monkey bars, a double slide, balance beam, swing set, spring teeter totter, and two low spinning seats.
Be advised that there is no bathroom at either park and only street parking is available.
